What You Will Do

  • Assist in managing the lifecycle of innovation projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and adherence to established OKRs.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to define project scopes, set specific, measurable objectives, and ensure alignment with broader organizational strategies.
  • Facilitate and participate in regular OKR review sessions to assess project progress, identify any deviations from the strategic path, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate across various teams to drive projects towards timely and successful completion, ensuring tasks and deliverables meet strategic objectives.
  • Enhance communication strategies to maintain transparency and continuous engagement with all project stakeholders about goals, progress, and outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on the achievement of key results, using data-driven insights to steer project decisions and resource allocation.
  • Assist in the roll-out and adoption of project management and OKR tracking tools like Microsoft Viva Goals, ensuring tools are effectively utilized to enhance strategic alignment.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, emphasizing the alignment of project outcomes with strategic business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within innovation-driven environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of project management techniques and methodologies.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, or similar project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience in the construction or engineering sectors is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with innovation management platforms like Microsoft Viva Goals and technologies relevant to engineering and construction, such as Palantir Foundry and Google Cloud Platform, is highly desirable.

Compensation

$110,000.00-190,000.00 Annually

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.

We are currently looking for an Associate Project Manager looking to grow in their career.

Required Education and Experience

Two-year Associate’s degree in Engineering or 4 years of project management experience in similar industry

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review project status with HRFS Project Engineer.
  • Strategize the most optimal way to complete job, i.e. creating and implementing a project plan.
  • Develop project plans with deliverables and milestones, costs, assigned resources, and schedules and lead project management and execution to meet or exceed project objectives.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients and FSMs on job scope and report on progress on a regular basis.
  • Conduct regular On-site Status Project Review appropriately to provide quality assurance and technical support to client and HRFS Technician.
  • Inquire about and document drawing numbers with revision dates of any changes or job additions/deletions to facilitate the amendments for the final documents of record.
  • Provide Sales Department with any changes through RFP and record on commissioning progress report log.
  • Conduct NYFD pre-test inspection.
  • Identify code issues and non-conformance issues, and make recommendations on alternative solutions to client/office.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, materials used, and communicate any problem encountered or identified with the alarm system on work order.
  • Manage and maintain smooth working relationships with contractors, clients, architects, 3rd party vendors, and engineers.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to execute the Dept of Engineering SOP as written and implied
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits and application, and all basic electrical theories
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems operation and functions, and fire alarm products (EST products preferred)
  • Ability to read and review blueprints
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and other relevant applications
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in different phases simultaneously
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to work well under pressure while preparing multiple projects
  • Ability to work flexible hours to ensure client expectations are met
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with clients, peers, and management
  • Good problem-solving/decision-making, negotiation, and persuasion skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, and smell. Frequently required to sit, climb, and balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, basic color differentiation, and the ability to adjust focus. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
